Transfer ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Advising

Transfer Transition Tuesdays

Transfer students are able to sign up for a Transfer Transition Tuesday on one of the following dates: June 17th, June 24th, July 15th, or July 29th. Sessions will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day, and will include a short orientation, and lunch. ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾s will meet with an Orientation Leader and be offered a full campus tour, along with introductions to various departments that are here to help students in their success. ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾s will be provided the opportunity to take care of any administrative items they may have and ask any questions they need answered before the semester begins.

To sign up for a Transfer Transition Tuesday, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ State (not your myÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ account)
  2. Locate the New ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Orientation Registration form under your Checklist
  3. Fill it out and submit – it’s that easy!

All students are strongly encouraged to participate.

  • Supportive Transition: Brittany is dedicated to supporting new transfer students, ensuring a successful first semester at ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ State University.

2. Course Schedule Building for Fall/ Summer 2025:

  • Complete the Fall/ Summer 2025 . Fall schedules will begin to be built after February 20th. Summer schedules will be built after March 4th.
  • Schedules are built based on course availability, prior courses, degree planning, and Department Chair recommendations for your major. Submitting preferences early increases the chance of preference fulfillment.

3. Review the Fall/ Summer 2025 New ÎÞÓÇ´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Checklist:

Are you ready for classes? Summer session 1 starts May 19, Summer session 2 starts July 7, and the Fall semester begins Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

WSU Transfer Peer Mentor Program

The Transfer Peer Mentor program is a free, semester-long program that connects incoming transfer students with an experienced former transfer student to help you navigate your first semester at WSU. 

  • New transfer student? Join the WSU Transfer Peer Mentor program! 

     

    Mentors and mentees meet regularly throughout the semester (in-person or remotely) to work on academic and social goals, providing personalized guidance and support. Between meetings, mentors send helpful emails with campus event reminders, key deadlines, and tips for academic success.

To watch the videos users are required to sign in using their WSU authentication login information. Contact the Technology Support Desk for assistance with the new account setup and authentication.

Tau Sigma National Transfer Honor Society

Transfer students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher during their first semester at WSU are eligible to join the WSU Eta Theta Chapter. Interested students can contact the Tau Sigma Chapter Co-Advisors Brittany Garand  bgarand@westfield.ma.edu or Megan Bishop at mhbishop@westfield.ma.edu.
